About This Workshop

As photographers we amass large collections of images. Keeping track of years of images can present a challenge. Working hand in hand with Photoshop, Lightroom is a viable solution to organizing your images in a cohesive, manageable and concise manner. There is also the added benefit of having a powerful image editor at hand that allows editing of multiple images at the same time in batches and with one click presets. In this workshop, commercial photographer Charles “Duck” Unitas will showcase the various aspects and features of Adobe Lightroom Classic, highlighting the benefits of using this powerful program in your own workflow. Using real world examples and typical workflow processes, topics covered include image ingest and sorting, batch processing event images, creating and using presets to increase editing productivity, managing images through keywords and collections, understanding the various AI tools built into Lightroom, creating custom export presets and more. He even touches on how Lightroom can be used to publish your own photo books. If you subscribe to Adobe’s Creative Cloud photography package it includes Lightroom as part of your subscription. If you're not using it you're doing yourself a disservice. Hopefully after this workshop you'll have a different opinion on the software. While this will be a lecture style workshop, you are welcomed to bring a laptop to follow along. Handouts will be available but participants should bring something to take notes with. A group lunch at a nearby Asian fusion restaurant is included in the schedule, and participants are responsible for their own meal costs.
