Active Professional membership shall be extended to (1) any professional photographer operating a photography business, or (2) any owner/manager of a photography studio, or (3) a professional photographer who is/has been employed in photography, or (4) to a full-time photographic instructor teaching professional photography at a school accredited by the Professional Photographers of America or CTPPA-approved photography school.
Emerging Professional membership shall be extended to (1) any hobbyist photographer not operating a photography business or studio, or (2) a hobbyist photographer who is looking to establish a photography business in the near future. Emerging Professional must not be making the majority of their income from photography.
Retried Professional membership shall be extended to (1) any retired professional photographer, or (2) any retired owner/manager of a studio, or (3) a retried professional photographer who has been employed in photography, or (4) to a retired photographic instructor who has taught professional photography at a school accredited by the Professional Photographers of America or CTPPA-approved photography school. Prior history with CTPPA or PPA is required. Requires board member approval.
This classification is offered to full-time college students majoring in photography or studying photography. You must be sponsored by an Active Professional Member of CTPPA.
