The "Freedom" professional photography charity exhibition opens with a reception Thursday, August 25 @ 6.30-8.30pm at the Golden Thread Gallery at 303 Tunxis Rd, West Hartford. Appetizers, desserts, wine, beer and live music are offered at the reception then the original art remains on display until Saturday, Sept 10, 2016.
"We are thrilled by the generosity of our supporters: we hoped for 20 donated artworks but actually installed 64 unique photographic pieces" says Deb Key, one of the 4 exhibition organizers. 100% of all proceeds of sales will be donated to the local Shelter, Interval House, one of 18 operations under the auspices of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV).
This exhibition is a collaborative venture by members of the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association (CTPPA) and professional peers from across the USA uniting for this shared cause to raise awareness and funds for programs to assist those moving on after experiencing domestic violence. This network of supportive programs makes a difference in people's lives when they need it most so CTPPA is proud to support CCADV and interval House. The public is welcome to join us at this celebration of "Freedom" to help others strive for a live free from fear.
