President's Message
March 2010

Spring is upon us once again. It is my favorite time of the year when all the tulips and daffodils start to bloom. A time when the trees start to bud and the grass starts to grow with that bright florescent color of green. The freshness in the air that makes us want to open the windows in the house to let some of that air seep in so we can feel refreshed inside as well. But, what really makes me feel happy is when the time changes. It may sound funny but when we set those clocks forward it just seems like we have more time in the day (daylight anyway).

As we get into spring fever this month. I hope that you will take the opportunity and participate in all the CPPA events that are going to take place. As members of this organization I cannot help but notice the newness and fresh outlook in our attendees at all of our events. Have you noticed this as well? I am of course referring to all the new members that have joined us this past year. There are so many new faces that appear to be just a little younger than the rest of us. At least it is with me anyway.

During the convention, our VP of Membership Deborah Tual, held a luncheon for our new members. In attendance were over twenty-six new faces. What was so uplifting and wonderful was to see all in attendance were speaking to each other as if they new one-another for years. Spring was certainly in the air during this luncheon.

Lets all take advantage of spring and make everything anew by coming out to all scheduled CPPA events and programs and say “Welcome” to those new members and make them feel right at home with all of us. This will certainly make our year new and refreshing. Remember, It’s spring. Enjoy the “fresh air”.

See you all at the Crowne Plaza on the 24th.
