Connecticut Fellowship Degree Program
The Connecticut Fellowship Degree Program was inspired in 1987 by then President Ray Scory. The first awards were presented in 1988. The degree program is a means to commend members who have freely given of their time and energy in serving CPPA, and to encourage others to get involved with the inner workings of the association.
Fellowships degrees are awarded in three levels as follows:
1. The Connecticut Fellowship Degree: Recipients of this degree (black ribbon with medallion) must earn 100 fellowship points, be a member of CPPA, participate in CPPA functions and conventions, and have 5 photographs accepted into CPPA print competition with scores of 80 or higher.
2. The Associate Fellowship Degree: Recipients of this degree (red ribbon with medallion) must earn 50 fellowship points, be a member of CPPA, participate in CPPA functions, and conventions.
3. The Colleague Fellowship Degree: Recipients of this degree (green ribbon with medallion) are required to be a member of CPPA, participate in CPPA functions and conventions, and have earned 25 fellowship points.
In addition: Service Stars are awarded to recipients of the Connecticut Fellowship Degree for every additional 25 points earned.
1. The first star is awarded to a member who has earned 125 points.
2. The second star is awarded to a member who has earned 150 points.
3. The third star is awarded to a member who has earned 175 points.
4. The forth star is awarded to a member who has earned 200 points.
