“Be Extraordinary”

Are You Ordinary or Extraordinary?

Dear Members,

There are many elements to a successful business. Having Positively Outrageous Service is one of them. I had the great fortune of hearing a lecture by T. Scott Gross who wrote the book about extraordinary customer service. His philosophy is “Create compelling word of mouth”. Here is a list of my top 10 ideas from his book that will make your client say “WOW”!

  1. Remember the client even when they are not buying.
  2. Give something free of cost and do it randomly.
  3. Become a quality and service fanatic.
  4. Demonstrate respect for the client’s time.
  5. Say you are sorry for the slightest slip from standard.
  6. Know your clients name.
  7. Entertain your client.
  8. Support causes clients hold important.
  9. Say “YES” and be positive.
  10. Be a good listener.

My relationships with my clients are lasting.  We become friends and my goal is to have these people become clients for life.   How do you want your clients to remember you?

Being a member of Connecticut Professional Photographers Association can help you get out of the ordinary and become extraordinary. Please join me for “Getting Out of the Ordinary” with Scott and Adina Hayne on Monday, October 17th.  Attending the Fall All Day Seminar will open your eyes to an extraordinary experience.

After the program there will be a digital competition so send your images NOW (to print chair, Mark Brendel at m.w.brendel@comcast.net), have them judged and viewed by your CTPPA friends.

It’s another way to become EXTRAORDINARY!!

Celebrate the fall season,

Lynn

Celebrate Life!

Dear Members,

My friend and a long time CTPPA member, Gerri Karamesinis passed away peacefully at her home on August 6th,  her 65th Birthday. Her battle with Cancer was long and courageous.

Gerri was an amazing woman. Her passion and zest for life was evident in every breath she took. Even right till the   end, completing 17 quilts in one year while undergoing chemotherapy treatments.  Gerri was a tremendous advocate for CTPPA. Whenever she met a new photographer she worked hard to recruit them. Telling them it would be the best investment in their business and their personal life. She was always active in helping people become a better photographer. She taught them to love the craft and profession as much as she did. She was tireless and always ready to work.  She will be deeply missed and remains in our hearts forever. May you rest in peace, my friend…..

As one life ends a new one begins…

My first grandchild, Gianna Lynn, was born on May 20th.   I love being a Grammy! We as professional photographers have a gift. Our gift is to capture and create memories through our imagery. We can capture something ordinary and make it extraordinary. The birth of a baby is not an ordinary event, so I didn’t have to make these next few images extraordinary, they already are!

Please join your friends and colleagues on September 21, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Cromwell, 100 Berlin Road, Cromwell, CT, for another extraordinary dinner meeting. Chris and Pat Beltrami “are passionate about everything…each other, their family and especially photography”  Don’t miss out!
